A newborn session with baby bea. I got to meet this sweet little girl, Bea and her family yesterday. She slept for most of her session without much trouble. Her mom and dad got some great images with her. Even when her proud big brothers came to hold her for a few pictures. This sweet little girl is going to be well taken care of with these two big brothers.

Newborn sessions are tricky. You typically want them to sleep for their entire session. In most cases if you try to take pictures of a newborn and their eyes are open, they tend to look like they are off-center or crossed. So newborn pictures look a lot sweeter if they just look asleep. For a newborn session, you need to get the room really warm. It helps them to sleep better and a lot of times parents want them to not have many clothes on. So you definitely need it to be warm or they will be uncomfortable and wake up.

I love it when they are asleep and make faces. You can often catch little smiles or other fun expressions. Bea did such a great job.
