Lone Oaks Farm
Lone Oaks Farm in Middleton TN is a gorgeous farm. This was my first time visiting and Shelby’s father came along to help guide us around the grounds that he is so familiar with. He was a great tour guide and this property is completely amazing. Tons of rolling hills, which I’m a huge fan of, lakes, trees, animals and very beautiful and unique buildings. It is even the site of the largest antique tool museum in the world. My favorite part may have been our first stop which was a small pond surrounded by trees with stone steps leading into the pond, a stone diving board and relaxing dock to relax on. Being in that area felt like going back in time. I could probably hang out there for days.
Shelby & W.T.
I am always honored when a couple chooses me to photograph their wedding. It is such a big decision. After this engagement session, I’m even more happy that these two chose me. I had such a great time photographing their engagement session that I KNOW this wedding will be amazing. Shelby and W.T. joked and laughed together for most of our session and it is really contagious. And of course, they have a great story of how they met. Shelby was at a Memphis Grizzlies game with her dad and W.T. and she noticed each other so he got brave and walked over with a pretty cheesy pickup line. But aren’t those the best? It obviously worked.
We drove all over Lone Oaks Farm and visited several ponds and barns. We went to the cabin that was moved from Lambuth Campus where my husband went to college. While we were by the cabin we got visited by a skunk. It’s definitely the first time I’ve seen a skunk during a photo session. Luckily he wasn’t really concerned with us much. We also saw deer, geese, ducks and lots and lots of bugs.
