Montessori Fest 2016

This year is our first year to have a child in school and it’s been a real learning experience. Being a parent of a kindergartener is a year of learning for the parents just as much as it is for the kids. We have loved that we get to start this learning experience with Community Montessori. And I loved Montessori Fest 2016.

The staff and PTO of this school have been amazing. It amazed me the first month of school when I walked in with my son and saw 4 different teachers call him by name and talk to him as we walked past. None of them were his teachers, just teachers in the school. I go into classrooms helping with the school newsletter and teachers will tell me they know my son.

PTO

The PTO works really hard to have events that will pull in the community. They have some really exciting events. This year was our first time to go to the Montessori Fest and boy it was a great event. Three different bouncy toys along with other games outside for the kids, gym full of fun things for the kids to do, a man making balloon animals, a face painter, and some amazing food. The weather was beautiful and the day was perfect. They also had a silent auction with some really creative baskets made by the classes. I took home two exhausted kids full of good treats.
