Vann Gardens
I always love photographing people in Vann Gardens. It is such a beautiful place with an old feel to it. I always feel like I am in the book, The Secret Garden, as I wander around there. Vann Gardens is very private and belongs to the people of the neighborhood. It is gated and photographers are only really welcome there if you are invited by someone that lives there. So it is a privilege whenever you are invited to photograph this enchanting place.
The day of this session was one of those days with beautiful glowing light. That is the ideal time and setting for me when I take portraits. There’s just something magical about that soft light flowing through the trees. It made this garden especially magical.
It was so lovely to meet this sweet family and spend a warm Saturday taking pictures of them. You can’t find a more beautiful spot and I’m so grateful that they scheduled me for a session. Keeping up with little ones during a session can seem like chaos but it’s amazing that in just split seconds you can catch some great images. These two little ones had lots of energy and lots of things they wanted to do and see but we could still get them still just long enough for a smile or a silly face.
