The Oregon Coast

A few years back my brother and sister in law moved to the Oregon Coast. They work at a camp called Camp Magruder. We have visited several times and we always come home wishing we could stay there. The weather is amazing. No southern humidity and you can go from a tank top to a sweatshirt all in the same day.

This area of the country not only has different weather but there are so many interesting and different things about it. The plants are so unique. I love the trees near the camp. The branches twirl and twist in ways I’m not used to. And of course, I love the beach no matter where it is. The giant rocks out in the ocean are so different from the Florida coast that I am used to. The water is icy and of course several of the areas were used in the movie “The Goonies”, so if you are a fan you might really like to visit the area.

Family Trip

For this trip, my family of four and I had a session with an amazing photographer named Shannon Hager at Cannon Beach. This post will just be pictures I took during our trip but if you are interested in seeing more of that area, she is fantastic. These images are mostly from a quick little portrait session I did with my brother and his family. They love trees and wooded areas so that is where we decided to photograph them.
