Liberty Garden Park

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing some truly fun and memorable senior sessions over the past few weeks. It’s always a joy when my work allows me to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones along the way. One of those new faces (and now, a favorite!) was the beautiful Naomi. We photographed her senior session at Liberty Garden Park.

Lately, life has been full of new beginnings for me. Photography will always hold the top spot in my heart. But I’ve also been leaning into another passion of mine: organizing. I’ve discovered just how much I love helping people bring order to their spaces and their lives. Problem-solving and creating functional, peaceful environments is something that comes naturally to me, and over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to step into that role for a few people.

Through one of my recent organizing and assisting projects, I was introduced to Naomi. She’s young, full of energy, incredibly hardworking — and as it turns out, a dancer and a high school senior! Naturally, that meant it was time to mark this milestone with some senior portraits.

We chose Liberty Garden Park & Arboretum right here in Jackson, TN for her session. It’s a charming little park tucked into the heart of the city — one I pass by often but, funny enough, don’t visit nearly as much as I should. I’m so glad we landed on it for Naomi’s photos! The weather gave us a perfect mix of beautiful skies with just a hint of moody flair, and though the air had a little bite to it, we didn’t let it slow us down until the very end.We weren’t the only ones out enjoying the day — other people filled the park, celebrating their own special moments and adding to the fun, lively atmosphere

Meeting and photographing such interesting, beautiful, and inspiring people constantly reminds me how lucky I am. This past week has been one for the books, and I can’t wait to share even more from these sessions!
