Amelia & Gordon | Nunnelly TN

I have the best couples! Amelia & Gordon had a gorgeous wedding during COVID a few months ago. I was lucky enough to be their photographer. Since I haven’t been able to travel as much as usual I was itching to go somewhere. I have a good friend whose family owns a gorgeous farm in Nunnelly TN. So that seemed like a perfect place to go.

Couples typically have an idea already of where they want their engagement session. Unless it is a place that is special they don’t necessarily want to travel far. So when I wanted to do a session in a creek and lake in middle TN I knew I would have to find a couple. Amelia & Gordon were my first choice and they were excited to do it.

I’ve always wanted to do a couples session in the water and just haven’t had a chance. Not just anyone wants to wade into cold water in their clothes. So I was super excited when Amelia & Gordon didn’t mind that they would be wading in super cold spring water.

Trust me when I tell you this water was so cold. Of course, I didn’t get in as deep as these two. I have no doubt their legs were numb. The pond was spring fed so it had a beautiful green and blue color and was icy cold.

The weather was perfect! It was a cool day but the sun was out and warm enough to keep us from freezing to death. I had such a wonderful time doing this session. I am so blessed with great couples that are up for something different.
