Caldwell Inn & Chapel | Milan TN | Olivia & Shane

The Caldwell Inn & Chapel

There couldn’t have been a better venue for Olivia & Shane’s wedding than Caldwell Inn & Chapel. It’s a wedding venue in Milan TN. It’s a magical historic home that was built in the 1800s. The owners have done an amazing job of fixing the home up. The details are amazing. From the decorations to the fact that each fireplace has little antiques decorating the inside of it.

The Caldwell Inn & Chapel has an indoor-outdoor space for your wedding and reception. It also has a groom’s cabin in the back so the bride can stay in the main house and the groom has his own space. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, they have a trolley that was bought in Charleston, SC. It’s gorgeous and perfect for the bride, groom, and wedding party to ride over to the hidden chapel in the woods.

To get to the chapel the trolley pulls you through what feels like a secret drive into the woods. And then the sky opens up and there is the most beautiful white chapel sitting in a field. If you are in search of the perfect unique wedding venue this one is for you. And it was perfect for Olivia & Shane.

Olivia & Shane

Olivia & Shane met at a car and truck show in Hornsby TN in 2014. There is no doubt that they both love cars and that a car show would be the perfect spot for their story to begin. For their engagement session, they brought a car that had belonged to Olivia’s father. She had recently lost her father whom she was very close to so it was so special to have it for pictures.

The Wedding

The day started with lots of steady rain but that didn’t discourage anyone. Olivia was so excited and it was really a joy to be there as her mother helped her into her dress. They got her ready to see her groom and Olivia gave her mother gifts. The Caldwell Inn has one of the best bridal suites I’ve gotten to photograph. It’s a beautiful room with large windows so we could watch the rain as she prepared for her big day.

Olivia made her way to the front porch of the old home with the family friend that would be standing in for her father. I have no doubt that her father was still there for the whole day but this sweet friend helped to give her away. Shane walked around the trolley and couldn’t stop smiling as he walked up onto the porch to be with his bride. The rain let up just as he walked up and it stayed away for the rest of the day.

We all rode the trolley over to the chapel and after a beautiful ceremony rode back over to the reception area at the Inn. It was the perfect night and I’m so happy that I was able to be a part of it.
