Newborn Session
It was a beautiful day outside as I went over to set up for Charleigh’s newborn session. I offer newborn session in the family’s home to help make it easier for them. I know what it’s like to have a new baby and not know what all to take places. When you have a portrait session it’s that much harder to decide. Especially if you are first time parents.
So I take all my things to the family’s house and get set up. I make the room super hot so the little one will be more comfortable and then settle in for lots of shushing and patting in between shots. It’s unlike any other portrait session but is so sweet.
Adam & Krista
It’s even more exciting to do a newborn session when it is someone that I worked with at their wedding. I feel like we are old friends. Getting to see Adam and Krista with their new little one was really exciting. Photographing their wedding was so much fun so when they asked me to do their maternity and newborn portraits I was honored.
Baby Charleigh
Charleigh was so tiny and sweet. She was pretty easy to get calm but didn’t like it so much each time I changed her outfit. She even gave me a few little grins during our session. She was a perfect little model. I love incorporating things that represent the parents in newborn sessions. In Charleigh’s session, we were able to get her on her dad’s uniform and her mom’s wedding dress. Hopefully, she slept great for mom and dad that night. Modeling is a hard job.
