Covington Newborn Session

I was so excited for this Covington TN newborn session. Eli’s parents are one of my wedding couples and I love working with them. They even volunteered to help me with a project in the past for my studio. So getting to see them again and also getting to meet their newest family member was very exciting.

This little guy has a heck of a birth story. He not only came during a pandemic but also during one of the biggest snow storms in Tennessee in my lifetime. They had to go stay with family closer to the hospital before the winter storm hit because he was obviously coming soon and we were about to all be snowed in for the next week.

Home sweet home

This sweet little boy was born and his parents headed home. Having a newborn is a huge adjustment and you have to learn it all while being completely exhausted. So it’s hard on anyone. Eli and his mom and dad went home and immediately had a busted pipe that flooded most of the house. It ruined the flooring and of course busted in the nursery closet. No one should have to deal with something that stressful while also just bringing home a baby.

So now they have pack up and go stay with family members while their flooring is replaced. Talk about a whirlwind of a week. But this sweet baby is just going with the flow. He did a pretty good job of sleeping for me for his session. But he did not like being unwrapped. This boy likes to stay warm. And he would open his eyes from time to time to see what all the clicking was. He is absolutely precious
