Eli | Senior Sessions | Downtown Jackson TN

Senior Sessions, Home Renovations, and a Full-Circle Moment
I promise I don’t plan it this way, but it seems like every time someone in Eli’s family needs senior sessions, I find myself knee-deep in a home remodeling project!
A few years ago, we had just moved into a new house and decided it was time for some updates. A friend recommended Custom Home Creations, and that’s when I met Eli’s dad. He came in, worked his magic tearing down walls, and transformed our space into a beautiful master suite. Not long after, he asked me to photograph his son’s senior portraits — and that’s when I met Eli’s older brother and their sweet mom for the first time.
Eli’s Senior Session
Fast forward to the present, and the pattern continues! We’ve recently decided it was finally time to tackle our very 80s kitchen. Naturally, I called Eli’s dad again — I wouldn’t trust anyone else for the job! This time, he brought Eli along to help with the project. As it turns out, Eli is a senior this year, and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph his senior session too.
Eli wanted to include his adorable pup in his photos (a request I will never turn down). We started the session at the University of Memphis, Lambuth campus, and let me tell you — his dog was an absolute pro in front of the camera. After exploring the campus, we headed downtown to finish up the session.
Fun fact: I had photographed his brother’s senior sessions in Downtown Jackson a few years back, and one of my favorite challenges was making sure we found fresh new spots for Eli’s photos. Downtown Jackson has so much variety that we had no trouble giving Eli his own unique session — with the exception of a few special sibling shots his parents wanted.
Season of the pups
And just a heads-up… you’re probably going to notice a trend in my upcoming posts. This spring has officially become the “season of pups,” and honestly, I am here for it! I’ve met more dogs in the past few weeks than I have in years, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Keep the four-legged friends coming — they’re always welcome in front of my lens.
