Elias Newborn Session

This is Elias newborn session. I’ve known Tracy for years and love taking pictures of her fun family. One of the best things about taking newborn portraits is that I get to meet these new little people so soon after they are born. I’ve been photographing Elias’ brother for a while now and it’s so great to meet the newest addition to this great family.

I do most of my newborn sessions in people’s homes. I’ve found that a lot of times it’s easier for parents to be in their own home and to not have to worry about what to pack to take to the session. Sometimes that can make things a lot more personal. Especially if you have props that you want to be used for your session. It can also help the baby to stay calm longer when they are in a familiar setting.

Elias’ big brother did great with the photos that we took of them together. I know it’s not easy for a kid to sit still while we mess with a newborn beside them. Great job Micah!

I’m so excited that I got to meet sweet baby Elias and take a few pictures of him this weekend. I look forward to watching him grow and take lots more superhero pictures of him in the future.
