Finn | Smash Cake| One Year Session

It was so fun seeing Finn and his family for his one year smash cake session. It wasn’t too many years ago that we had a very similar session for his big brother. His parents chose the location of their wedding to do their boys one year portrait sessions.

They got married at The Columns in Bolivar TN. It’s a beautiful historic venue with the oldest boxwood garden in Tennessee and a antique rose garden that will make you feel like you’ve gone back in time. I always love visiting this beautiful little piece of history.

It took little Finn a bit to warm up to the idea of being sat down on the ground away from his parents but he gave us some great smiles from time to time. He also stood up for us a took a few steps. Halfway through a giant gust of wind came up and took the balloons away but we were able to get some good ones with them before they took off.

We did Finn’s smash cake in the same place as his big brother did. Both boys were not afraid to dive into their smash cakes. Finn leaned over to take a bite before his mom could even get out of the picture from sitting him down. He kept leaning forward and biting or licking the cake and then sitting back and clapping his hands.
