First Birthday party at Beaver Creek Trout Farm
Graham had his first birthday party with his friends and family at his families farm. Formerly a trout farm started by his great-grandfather. It’s been in his family since 1952. It was the first trout farm in TN. They raised rainbow trout for years. They now just share the property for family celebrations and time together. He was named Graham after his fathers family name that been in the family for generations. After already choosing his name his parents found out that the town of Nunnelly where the farm is was once called Graham TN. The meaning of his name is “keeper of the gravel homestead”.
You may remember another birthday post I did for his sister JoElla. It was also at the farm. Their mom puts a lot of thought and planning into their first birthday party and it is always fun to photograph.
The Big Day
It was a super hot and humid southern day but luckily their spring fed creek is nice and cold. So everyone sat in the creek and cooled our feet while the kids splashed around in their swimsuits. Graham is a handsome little boy and had decided it was going to be a very serious photo session but we still caught a few good smirks and smiles from him. He had lots of friends and his sweet big sister there to play with him and enjoy the party.
They did a low country boil as the meal and it was enjoyed by all. The cakes were beautiful and tasted divine. A friend of the family, Laurie Matlock made them, especially for Graham. It took Graham a little while and some help from his aunt but he finally dug into the cake and from the huge grins on his face I’m going to guess he loved it.
Here is a senior session that was done at the same location.
