Cogan’s Farm Engagement Session

It’s not every day that you work with a bride that you’ve known since the day she was born. Jodi is my little cousin and I remember leaning over her in the floor of my living room when she was an infant and trying to make her laugh. She’s the youngest of 7 grandkids that spent lots of time together as kids. Jodi even lived at my house some on the weekends when we were young. We used to go to Pinson Mounds together and run up and down the mound til we were exhausted and then sit on top and talk til we could catch our breath.

Brandon is actually the good friend of one of the other cousins and that is how he and Jodi started dating. I don’t know if I speak for all the others but I was really glad to see Brandon come along. He’s quiet so I can’t say I know him well but I can tell he’s a good guy and seems like he’s good for Jodi. He makes her laugh and from what she says he never laughs out loud himself, just smiles. I’m really looking forward to this wedding and am pretty sure it’s one that I won’t make it through without tearing up behind my camera.

We did their engagement session at a gorgeous venue called Cogan’s Farm. This is my first time to photograph there and it is absolutely beautiful. There were horses, ponies, donkeys, cats, dogs, and even a very large, hungry pig that came by to say hi to us during our session. If you are looking for a venue with lots of outdoor option Cogan’s Farm is one you should see.
