Kristina & Shannon | Engagement Session | Jackson TN

Spring has been such a crazy time around my house. We’ve had many unexpected things happen to throw me off my comfortably planned calendar. And of course, photography has picked up tremendously due to the gorgeous weather. I was so glad to get to meet Kristina & Shannon finally at their engagement session. These two have also had their share of unexpected and inconvenient things pop up on their calendar so I was glad we were able to get their session in.

Kristina & Shannon had their session on a day that was sunny and beautiful but still quite cold. The wind had a chill to it that made me think someone had left the fridge open. We chose to do their session at the West Tennessee Agresearch Center in Jackson TN. I loved hearing all about these two and their story together. It’s always fun to hear the different ways in which people meet and connect. I also never know what to expect when it comes to the different types of chemistry people may have during our session.

These two told me up front that they were awkward in front of the camera. I think they both felt I may have my work cut out for me when photographing them. But it’s always so interesting to me what people consider to be bad or what would make bad pictures. I found that every time these two looked at each other they couldn’t help but make silly faces or bust out laughing. And to me, that is wonderful. I just love a picture that shows emotion and happiness and laughter are two great ones. I have no doubt that the wedding will have lots of gorgeous images of these two smiling sincerely at one another.
