Lucy
Another of my wonderful former Bride and Groom’s called me to do their Martin TN newborn session. It’s always fun going into the home of a newborn’s family and meeting the new addition. This time I also got to learn her name. Her parents kept her name a secret until she was born so they could announce it to the family. And the name Lucy fit her sweet little face just perfectly.
The Session
Lucy was the perfect little newborn model for her session. She slept pretty much the entire session while I moved her around and posed her. She even gave me a few quick smiles, yawns, and sneezes during her session. We kept her room warm and cozy and she only woke once to eat and then went right back to sleep. It’s also fun to get to see the nurseries that parents spend so much time thinking through and decorating. I loved the animal pictures on Lucy’s wall.
The last set of pictures I took of Lucy by herself were pictures of her in a basket and she insisted and opening her eyes. This sweet girl looked around the whole time and looked completely beautiful. It’s not always the case that a newborn can focus their eyes in one direction but she had it down. Just in time for pictures with mom and dad.
