Masters Degree portraits
I always feel so honored when someone comes back to me for more photos. Katie recently called to celebrate a huge milestone and photograph her Masters degree portraits. It’s truly the biggest compliment when clients trust me again and again with their memories.
Katie also happens to be my cousin, so I’ve known her since she was tiny. I was lucky enough to photograph her wedding to Mason, and it was so special to spend that whole day with them, capturing not just their love but all the little moments that make it uniquely theirs. It really is special photographing weddings of people I’m close to. I get to be a large part of their day and get to know the two of them together throughout the whole process.
Graduating
Now, Katie is getting ready to graduate from Union University in Jackson TN this May, and I couldn’t be prouder. Earning a master’s degree is no small feat, especially while balancing all the responsibilities of adult life. I’m always so impressed by anyone who takes on that challenge and sees it through with so much determination and grace. It’s definitely not easy to live an every day grown up life and study and pass classes at the same time.
Spring has been absolutely perfect for portrait sessions this year. We’ve had sunny days with cool breezes and — miraculously — no humidity! When we went to Union’s campus for her session, we weren’t the only ones out there. The campus was full of excitement, with several other graduates capturing their own special moments.
It was such a joy to celebrate this season of life with Katie, and I’m so proud of all she’s accomplished. I can’t wait to see what’s next for her!
