Nashville Wedding Proposal | Mark & Gale | Pedestrian Bridge

Mark recently got in touch with me looking for photography for his Nashville wedding proposal. He and Gale were going to be visiting and he was planning to propose to her on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville. It really is a pretty spot to have a big moment you want to remember. It has a great view of the river and the Nashville skyline.

Mark & Gale

Mark and Gale are from Ottawa Canada. They met 8 years ago at a party just a few weeks before they both started college. Gale was new to Ottawa and didn’t know many people but the two had a connection immediately. They spent most of the evening getting to know each other and telling stories of their childhoods. They continued to talk for a week before Mark worked up the courage to ask her out on a date. Now 8 years later they have been through a lot together. They finished college, started their careers, got a dog, and bought a house together.

Mark has always been a big sports fan. He’s grown up playing sports most of his life. He studied accounting and got a job soon after finishing college. He had lots of wonderful things to say about Gale. He said she was the strongest person he’d ever met. She is a strong and kind person who will go out of her way to brighten someone else’s day. She loves to read books, play video games, and work on her garden in the summer months. The two of them like to go for walks with their dogs and cook together at home.

The Proposal

The day of the proposal was beautiful. It was bright and the sky was full of beautiful clouds. I think that Gale was totally surprised. When Mark knelt down she looked totally shocked as she realized what he was doing. The ring was so unique and gorgeous. They both seemed so excited afterwards and I could tell Mark was still trying to get over the nerves that had built up while waiting to propose. I’m so glad Mark came across my page and asked me to photograph their proposal. It was a great moment and I’m so happy I got to witness it. Congratulations you two!!
