Changes
Since moving to our new house my studio has become more and more fitting to me and my style. When we moved I still had the same furniture that I had bought in 2001 to fill my studio. Luckily for me, when we moved none of it would fit in my new studio. So I had to start looking for something new. I looked for a while and chose very carefully. I’m so happy with the result. It’s one of my favorite rooms in my house and I feel like it matches my studios brand much more than before.
Slowly I am making decisions for new things. It’s funny in the photography business that things are always changing. From film to digital. You used to come in and sort through hundreds of proofs to choose your album and now it’s all online. It’s taken me a while to find exactly what my style and preferences are, but I think I’ve got a good grasp on it now.
New Things Happening
I’ve debated for years on whether or not I needed a large screen in my studio to show people their images. My business works a lot around ordering downloads and USBs of your session or wedding so it hasn’t seemed like a priority but recently I decided it would be a great asset to ordering meetings with my bride and groom’s after their wedding. I have my couples come in and place their orders a few weeks after their wedding so that they can see products in person and discuss what they are looking for as they order with me. Now I will be able to show them their images on screen. And they can decide which image they want to put on their wall or put on the cover of their album. I’m so excited to use it for my next meeting.
