Newborn Session Colton
Over the last few years, I have gotten to work with this family many times and they are always a joy to work with. You might remember them from my recent fall mini sessions or from Abigail’s one year session. These sweet girls were so impressive with their new baby brother. They both did so well trying to hold him and smiling for us quickly so they could go on with the rest of their fun day. I invaded their house on a warm December day with all my equipment and things to set up and capture this handsome little man. He didn’t give us any trouble at all and slept through pretty much the entire session. Even while his big sisters were trying to maneuver him around as they were holding him for the picture they were all three in.
Getting Ready for a session
We got the rooms we were using all toasty and hot and he curled up and let me move him around without putting up a fuss. As a third child, I guess you get so used to the chaos of your older siblings that you are pretty laid back and able to sleep through most anything. He barely even woke up as I changed his wraps and moved his arms around where I wanted them. I love how easily newborns can fall sleep and how they make quick little faces as I am photographing them and if I happen to have the camera up and am fast enough I can catch some great little expressions.
Colton would wrinkle up his eyebrows at me pretty often and tighten his tiny lips. I even caught a few yawns from him in the middle of all that sleep. I’m looking forward to watching him grow and trying to catch even more fun expressions. I’m so excited for this whole family. He is so precious and handsome.
