Engagement Sessions
I never assume someone I know will consider me for their wedding. And I am so humbled and excited every single time someone I know or don’t know decides me and my work are a good fit for their wedding. I have found that when I know the bride I am way more likely to be hired than if I know the groom. It makes complete sense. The bride typically does a lot of the decision-making and is more likely to choose a photographer she is familiar with or has worked with. So Rob & Emily asking me to be their photographer was a pleasant surprise.
Rob
I have known Rob since we were both little kids. I even have memories of him crawling around our church nursery as a baby with a cast on his leg. But that’s a whole other story. I grew up with Rob and his family and they are practically family to me.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to photograph both of Rob’s sister’s weddings and now I get to play a part in the memories of his. It has been so great meeting and getting to know Emily as we’ve met and done their engagement session. They seem like such a great fit and I have no doubt their wedding will be so special and so much fun to photograph.
Rob & Emily
Rob & Emily had to reschedule their engagement session once and it’s a good thing we did. The weather this week has been so amazing. There is was no sign of humidity during our session and the day was gorgeous. We wandered around the beautiful property in Jackson, TN that they chose for their session and even discussed a possible wedding session after their wedding. I know Rob isn’t in love with the thought of being in more pictures but if it includes travel he’ll endure it. And it sounds like such a fun time to me. So stay tuned and maybe you’ll see these two later on in a gorgeous location. Congratulations you guys!! I’m so happy for you.
