Robin’s Nest Event Venue

I’ve been to Robin’s Nest Event Venue before and the rolling hills around this venue are stunning. It is almost completely surrounded by beautiful green hills. Kelsie & Jacob chose Robin’s Nest for their wedding and decided to have a fall wedding outside. It turned out to be the best weekend for an outdoor wedding. The sun was warm but the air was crisp and cool.

Kelsie and Jacob met over Instagram. Kelsie’s friend had posted a picture of her and Jacob saw it and couldn’t help but get in touch with her. The two started talking and the rest is history. Then one day Jacob caught her by surprise during their morning coffee. She turned around and he was on one knee.

The Wedding

On the day of the wedding, I arrived a little early to find everyone running right on time. I had not seen the beautiful bridal suite at this venue until that morning. We started working on details and getting into the wedding dress. Everything was bustling with flower girls, ring bearers, and the wedding party running around. Everything was already decorated and looked perfect.

Off to the side of the property is a red-covered bridge. We chose to do the first look in the shade of the bridge. It was such a sweet little secluded spot away from the crowd that it made for the perfect first look. We found some great places for portraits as we made our way back over to the barn. When it was time to start the wedding party and family the sun was super bright up near the barn but we found some colorful fall foliage down at the bottom. Everyone was good sports and rode the golf carts down for us to do some portraits.

The ceremony was timed so perfectly. The sun was glowy just as everyone made their way down the aisle. The singing was beautiful. Kelsie and Jacob chose to plant a tree during their ceremony. They each had dirt to represent them and poured it into the pot with the tree. As the ceremony ended everyone made their way into the reception. We caught a few colorful sunset pictures and then went in to enjoy the party.
