This past weekend I was so excited to be headed to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Jackson TN for Tricia and Garth’s wedding. Not too long ago I met Tricia and Garth in Memphis for their engagement session at The Memphis Botanic Garden. It was an enjoyable day walking around and hearing more about the two of them. We found we even had some connections to each other. After our day together I had no doubt their wedding day would be a great one.
Tricia & Garth met through work and finally went out one night when Tricia’s mom had to cancel on her and Garth stepped up and offered his company. After dating Garth proposed one day when they were visiting The Memphis Botanic Garden. So of course that made it the perfect spot for their engagement session.
Fast forward and here we are ready for the wedding. It’s springtime in Tennessee so of course the weather has been humid one minute and frigid the next. But the day of the wedding was perfect. It was such a fun day of meeting the wedding party and the family I hadn’t met yet. The first look was so sweet. They read letters they had written each other and both cried and laughed together. It was such a special moment to get to peek into.
The ceremony started in this beautiful old church and it was joyful and special. Tricia & Garth had such a unique wedding party. It was obvious that they were all close to one another and that everyone really cared about the couple. Once they were finally married the two grabbed one another just outside the sanctuary doors and held on with excitement and kissed again. They hopped into the limo and headed to the Country Club for their party.
The dancing at the reception was fantastic. Garth & Tricia had such a fun first dance and I swear every person in the room got out and danced at one point or another. The music was great and made it hard not to dance. I have had lots of sweets and cake in my life but I must agree with Garth that their wedding cake was one of the best cakes I’ve ever eaten. It was a wonderful night and I’m so grateful to have shared it with them.
