The Elder Family | Jackson TN | Tracye’s Photography

I have tons of different connections to the Elder family. This gorgeous mom of three boys and I have known each other since we were both teenagers. We both loved the same summer camp and spent many weeks of our summers there. There’s something about the experience that we have at Lakeshore that will keep us friends from now on. She and her twin sister, who you may have seen on my blog recently, and I go way back.

She grew up to marry someone she met at camp just like I did. I worked with his older brother on staff and came to know him more through my husband. They were close friends when they worked at camp together. Now we all live in the same town and go to church together.

It’s so great to get to photograph these guys because their newest addition was born in the midst of the chaos of Covid and I haven’t gotten to see him much at all. These three little boys are full of character and sweetness. Their oldest goes to school with my littles and I was lucky enough to get to spend their middle sons birthday photographing him.

YOu can’t beat the weather and the leaves in West TN right now. It was a little windy but was still a gorgeous day to photograph the Elder family. The campus at University of Memphis Lambuth always has the best leaves.
