The Nerwal Family
I love it when I meet someone new at a wedding. And when they call me, later on, to come to do portraits for their family, that’s even more amazing. This family is from one of my favorite weddings a couple of years ago. The crazy inconsistent weather has caused me to have several sessions like my session with this family.
Session time
The day was dreary and cloudy and it seemed like our session might not be exactly what we were all hoping for. But as I was driving over to their home for the session the sun came out and it was beautiful. It was very windy but beautiful. I was so happy because with grandparents there to visit and leaving soon, we had to get it done, rain or shine.
Windy sessions can be so tricky because it can blow people’s hair all over. It can also blow clothing around and make it distracting in portraits. Sometimes we would have to stop and wait for it to ease up to take the pictures.
It’s even more special to be welcomed into people’s homes to do their portraits. They welcome me into their world for a little bit and I get to see how their lives are. And seeing this sweet boy loving on his new baby brother was so fun.
I hope to get to work with the Nerwal family again soon!
