Wedding in Cancun

Christina & Jeff started planning their wedding in Cancun Mexico quite a while ago. Covid came along and threw so many people’s plans up in the air. They had to reschedule everything. It changed several things like two of their kids no longer being able to come to be a part of it in person. I was unsure if I would be able to make it. When it worked out I was so excited.

I made it to Mexico on my own a little worried about not knowing most of the people there. But after meeting Christina and Jeffs’s family and friends that were able to come, I felt right at home. They have such a fun, down to earth and a fabulous group of people that love them. We had the best time catching up with the people we knew and getting to know the ones we didn’t. I was able to room with my cousin. It was the perfect trip for us to catch up on each other’s lives.

The wedding day

On the day of the wedding, we were a little worried about when the rain shower they were predicting would come. But we still had a great morning. Christina, her maid of honor, and Jeff’s gorgeous little girl were all getting hair and makeup done at the salon. We joined them and spent the morning hanging out while they got fixed up. A few rain showers came and went but things were dry by the ceremony time.

Jeff’s kids walked him down the aisle. Christina was walked down the aisle by each of her boys that were able to be there. The beach was magical and the vows were so sweet. It could not have been any more beautiful. They did a sand ceremony where each of them and each of the kids, even those that couldn’t come, had a different color added to the frame. It was such a great way to show all the special people and personalities that were being joined together.

We made it to the reception and were able to spend a little time and then get the first dances in. The way Jeff and Christina looked at each other during their dance was the best part of the day for me. It was so special. When the rain started they moved us indoors and it was the perfect party. Everyone danced and laughed and it was the perfect end to an amazing day. It was a great wedding in Cancun Mexico.
