Downtown Jackson | Simpson Family Session

The Simpson’s are close friends of my family and I really enjoyed spending time with them in downtown Jackson. It was a chilly spring day in Jackson and the wind was pretty strong. We went to several spots downtown but realized pretty quickly that it was a bit cool for the kiddos.

Lucky for us, the New Southern Hotel is a gorgeous place in downtown Jackson that we could go inside out of the cold. The kids enjoyed sitting in the windows and looking out at the people and cars. It was the end of a long day and even though Graham wasn’t completely wanting to have his picture made, he couldn’t help but smile from time to time. And it only takes a second to catch a little grin.

It’s not often that families choose a downtown setting for a family portrait and they can be so fun. There are so many cool buildings and great murals. And the New Southern Hotel is a really incredible hidden gem. It is really elegant and unlike anything else in Jackson.

If you are looking for an elegant place for a wedding The New Southern should definitely be on your list.
