Bruce Family Session | The Columns of Bolivar

When you are in high school it never crosses your mind that the people you meet along the way will be supporting and cheering you on your whole life. The Bruce family session reminded me how true that can be. Although everyone has those high school experiences that they’d rather never revisit I definitely met people I am so grateful for.

Technically I met Julie Bruce in middle school. We had a ninth-grade general business together. I remember that because I met many people I would be closest to for the next 4 years in that class. Julie and I were both at a new school and had been scattered from the people we knew. We spent a lot of time together away from school also so I got to know her family pretty well. Including her two younger brothers.

Thankfully we stayed in touch all this time and have stayed close friends. I have gotten to photograph her and her family many times. It means so much to me that they just keep coming back. There is a special place in my heart for this entire family. The Columns of Bolivar was a gorgeous spot for the session. Getting together with all of them to record some memories was a fun time for me.
