In-home newborn session
I decided a while back to only offer an in-home newborn session as a part of a baby club package. I enjoy newborn sessions but really prefer to get to be with the family during the first year of milestones. I’ve found that in-home newborn sessions are much more relaxing for the parents. Especially if they are first time parents. You don’t have to worry about what all to bring because it is all already there. The baby is possibly even more comfortable because they are in familiar surroundings.
Raiden
A newborn session is a slow process sometimes because we need to relax baby and get them to sleep. Once they are asleep it’s so much easier to move them and pose them. Raiden took just a bit to get to sleep but once he was he was so sweet and cuddly. His parents moved here from different states and had several cute outfits for him. I just love when parents have ideas that make it a little more personal for them. In this case, Raiden’s dad’s favorite football team was used in the props.
It’s also great when the weather cooperates enough for us to get the baby outside for a couple. And for his fishing outfit, the grass was a perfect spot. We only got in a few images of his nursery before he decided he was done with modeling for the day. But I must say, he had one of the cutest nurseries I’ve ever seen. A family friend had come and painted mountains on his walls. And it was gorgeous. His parents had chosen perfect furniture and little accents to add to the theme. It is absolutely adorable.
I’m really excited that this is just the first of several sessions with this sweet family.
