Jackson TN Proposal
I was excited when Riley messaged me to photograph his Jackson TN proposal. He had planned for their families to be there for the surprise. He picked a popular photography spot in Jackson with a beautiful waterfall and garden. I arrived early to find the family all there with a blanket set up by the water.
On the blanket, they had sprinkled petals and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. And of course, sitting beside the flowers was a ring box. But before we get to the proposal let me tell you a little about these two.
How they met
When I asked how they met, this was Riley’s answer. “We met through her cousin, Ben. I was going to the same church as him at the time, he would always talk about her and say how much she loved to play video games and that they played all the time. I begged him to let me play with them one night, and he finally let me. I instantly knew she was special just when I heard her voice for the first time. We decided to start talking and get to know one another. I didn’t have a driver’s license at the time, but she did. She insisted on driving to Lexington and seeing me. And she did. The rest was history!”
The Proposal
Now, back to the proposal. The whole family was so sweet, nervous, and excited as they waited for them to arrive. When they pulled up and got out of the car you could tell how surprised Madison was. She was so excited to see her family. He walked her over to the blanket and after saying a few quick things Riley hit one knee. One of my favorite things about photographing proposals is catching all the emotions flying around. Madison went from excited to a slight moment of crying and then right back to excited.
After lots of hugs and laughter with the family, we took a few quick pictures of the newly engaged couple. Congratulations you two. I’m so excited for you!
