It makes me feel so special when someone I meet at a wedding decides they want me to photograph their family. I met this sweet couple at Cassidy & Haye’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. They were in the wedding party and had newborn Russ with them.

I was so amazed at how good he was at the wedding. I never heard him make a peep the whole day. He slept, ate, and was cuddled by family the whole time. He did so well for his parents. This little man decided he was ready to come a little early so he could make sure to be at that wedding.

The day of his newborn session it was super windy outside. He’s a bit older than I typically photograph newborns at so I was really curious to see how much he would sleep and curl up. Russ did a great job. He definitely decided that he wanted some pictures with his eyes open. He was very busy looking around checking out what was going on.

We were able to get him back to sleep for some portraits on a family quilt and with his grandfathers boots and toys from childhood. He even slept a bit while we took some hunting pictures for dad. But once we were done with that he was awake and not putting up with us trying to get him back to sleep.

All in all, it was a great newborn session and I think we got some really great pictures of this sweet baby. Great job to this newborn Russ.
