Downtown Nashville Proposal
This weekend I had another exciting downtown Nashville proposal. Each proposal I’ve gotten the honor to photograph has had its own parts that made it special. Gabby and Garrett were so happy and excited that it was contagious. They also had family hiding so they could come out after Gabby said yes and surprised her . It was just one happy thing after the other.
About the couple
Garrett is from Virginia and Gabby is from just outside of Cincinnati Ohio. They now live in Richmond Virginia but will be moving soon. The couple met in college. They met through club volleyball and mutual friends at school at Coastal Carolina University. They both had feelings for each other when they graduated from school, but neither told the other. A few weeks after graduating Garrett went back to visit friends and the two ran into each other. The rest was history.
Currently, Garrett is a wireman at an electric company and Gabby works as an assistant manager at a gym. The two are happy anytime they get to spend time with each other. They love to travel together and spend time with their friends.
Time to propose
The day that Garrett and Gabby came to Nashville it was very overcast and cool out in Nashville. I got a little worried driving downtown because it started to rain. But by the time we got to the John Seigenthaler bridge it had stopped. As we walked up to the bridge we ran into each side of the family heading to their hiding spot just off the bridge. They wanted to make sure Gabby didn’t see them before it was time. It was still early on Friday so the bridge wasn’t busy at all.
Gabby seemed genuinely surprised when Garrett hit one knee and reached into his booth for the ring box. She said yes and the couple both hugged with excitement. After I introduced myself to Gabby they both headed across the bridge to see the family. It was such a great day and a fun downtown Nashville proposal. Congratulations Gabby and Garrett!
